MAP Sensor

Is there perhaps a MAP sensor lying around on some one's bench or in a garage? 1 Bar and up is fine. I want to experiment with a map sensor to trigger my water /methanol injection. Lately I experience troubles with my AFM being pulled down by my w/m electronic management, Well I think that is what happening. I don't want to go the route of a normal vacuum switch as you get in the standard w/m kits, just because of the existing electronics controlling the on/off state of the w/m pump. So I still want to be able to experiment with the 0 to 5v signal of the MAP sensor.

Chem you will need a 2 bar map sensor and up, 1 bar is for NA. Get the Opel GM one, scrap yards will have them, cheap as well.

I got hold of a MAP sensor today. Thanks for the info via phone Gary. But, it was not easy. Driving from one spare shop/scrap yard to the other. Because they dont know how and what a MAP sensor is
Eventualy got a GM one but could not identify the Bar rating of the damn thing. Now this map sensor okie needs +5V in. So I hooked it up with a 5 volt regulator lying around from out of my electronics spare parts, hooked up the w/m controller and whala. Well, only temporarily, because I need to re think the whole lot. Also the timing is not advanced, so the w/m is not effective. For time being, this little mod works ok.
