Dicktator review

Ok before I get started I just want to say that I am not a professional tuner and this is my own opinion.
After spending many hours on Rat's white sx which has a Dicktator management I thourght I would share my views.
Brief History:
Ok the car came in for a dyno tune, I sent it to ABC motorsport (Dicktator agents in Dbn). The dynoed the car and it made 148RwKw, forget the torque but it was decent. Anyway the car was heavy on juice and I simply blame the cheap managment system for being inefficent (I steryotyped). Then the car started backfiring and messing around, which turned out to be a dieing Walbro. Got that right then the car wouldnt start, had a battery drain, etc and was generally just cr@p.
I sent the car back and after 2 weeks they sorted it out. Fetched the car and it was awfully rich, they had redyno tuned it to correct the fueling which they obviously didnt.
Anyway I downloaded the software, plugged the laptop in and went for a drive.
Now the software is very basic to use, I just dont like the map navigation, but maybe its just because I am used to the Wolf3D software.
A few major downsides,
1. Not enough load sites between full vacuum and full boost
2. Tuning every 1500rpm is also kak, I think every 100rpm would be ok but every 500rpm is ideal.
3.It takes 2 hands to do any fine adjustments in the map, difficult to do when driving
.
4. Tempreture compensation is at every 20degrees, NOT enough.
Anyway I am not here to state the positive and negetive of the system, there is enough arguements on the net elsewhere. So Ill get straight to the point, once I got it sorted out it actually drives VERY nicely, cold starts are good, makes good power. Now sure with tuning every 1500rpm alot of the map is interpolated so you wont be dead on the timing and it could vary up to 2 degrees.
BUT and this is a BIG but, for the price and the ease of tuning I dont think it is that bad. Rather than spend R3000 on a system and skimping on the price of the dyno tune, get the Tator and find the best person to dyno tune it. The system is only as good as the monkey behind the key board, which most are monkeys. I am not comparing to Motec or Haltec or anything, all I am saying is; Dont scare away from this system because everyone on the internet knocks it. Also dont try say its shit cause it doesnt do this and that, you dont compare a Golf 1 to a BMW 3 series no do you.
After spending this amount of time with it and have been come pretty used to it, its not a bad system not nearly as bad as people say it is. I think it is safe to say for R2000 its a good buy.
