Okay, firstly very sorry for the late reply. Work is always my excuse.

FMIC- How difficult was it to mount the intercooler, epsecially the piping? What cost is an Intercooler & fitment?

The mods I have on my car are currently, the S14 Turbo with DownPipe, 63mm xhaust. Next I want to do the FMIC & the eletric fan conversation.

However, do I need to get the car chipped or remapped as the car doesn't know about the new hardware. What have you used to do this? Diktator or some management system?

i was lucky i had the intercooler(i still have a nother availeble )then the
mounting part the cooler wasn't mounted as per say but the new boost
pipes kept it in place and on those pipes i got mountings made that kept
everthing in place -then i didn't chip it or anything still ran normal
fuel managment but could boost 0.8-0.9 without any hassles the 2 electr
fans i got the car with they worked on a thermo switch that was installed
in a metal pipe and then routed from the radiator at bottom

Cool. How much do you want for the intercooler that you currently have? That's if it is a front mount.

I'm intruding again....SORRY>>>WOOHAA if you get a custom maid intercooler you can ask them to make it sothat you can still use your standerd piping, only short pieses to connect to new cooler where the old one was.

i agree with derek_son but in my choice i already had the coolers so it

Not worries dude. All opinions are always good to hear.
Sniper, another question on the cooler. Because it comes of a diesel car, is there any performance issues?

what do you think ? the thing that u must keep in mind is that it is still only
an intercooler no matter if it came of oom jans trekker van gat sonder
water - an intercooler is like a radiator for air only air flows through it
there is nothing else that connects to it expect from the turbo and then
again from cooler to throtle body so to awnser youre question in short

no as long as it can handle what everpressure you are intending to run
through it it should have no effect whatso ever and like i said before i got it fixed and pressure tested to 3 bar and i dont think that you will want to run that high a boost anyway

3bar will be way to high. I'm looking at 0.8 - 0.9 bar max.

What is the physical dimensions of the intercooler? Is it much bigger than the standard stuff?

we wont even talk about the standard intercooler cause in my eyes that
thing is only good enough for somebody to turbo a go-ped the standard
intercooler is smaller in height than a A4 page and a bit wider the one
i have is about +- 180 high and 600 long it could be bigger but i dont think
smaller

Does the boost pipes go into one end or are they on opposite ends of the IC?
