I think this would be the coolest thing ever, just because no one else has it. Has anyone thought of this mod and done some research on it??
I was thinking a Mini cooper supercharger would work quite well?? The piping of it would be a nightmare. Do you think this would be a feasable mod??

for the same money you could prolly fit a REALLY big turbo with supporting mods - cams/valve springs/rocker stoppers and have practically double the HP
IMHO anyway

No wanting the power but the drivability. There would be no turbo lag, no boost threshhold nothing. Beside the clutch on the supercharger would disengage once the turbo has spooled up enough pressure.

That sounds interesting! Is that auto-disengaging clutch standard with the supercharger? Sounds like an awesome setup - I would rather have that, than a bigger turbo

if you are going to do it yourself, and can afford the 6 months + downtime due to r&d and trial and error, then go for it.
it will be very unique - and as you said, VERY drivable cuz of above mentioned characteristics.
but if you gonna pay someone to do it, you better be read to be without a car for a long time... (and have LOTS of $$$$)

I think it was one of the Max Power editions that featured a twin turbo Focus... looked quite easy to do... small not waistgated turbo, with a decent waist gate fitted as soon as that turbo runs out of steam the waist gate will be fully open and let all the gasses to the bigger turbo this will cause the bigger turbo to generate the uprated boost
On the Super Charger effect, there was a Tazz that was featured in the SNS that had the kind of setup you spoke about... was done by Alpine developments...
