Ok so I should probably buy a new clutch to go in with that other engine (if it ever goes in ).
Ok so does anybody know where to get a clutch or what to ask for. I believe the Maxima's clutch is a perfect fit can anybody confirm. and around what price should i be looking at.
suggestions, comments and especially donations welcome.
Daniel I put a sacks clutch in propably the same as the Maxima, Jay Boy said he has a Luk clutch in and his happy, pm him and get the part number for a luk, I wanna go that root aswell when this one goes.
Hey Freddy and Daniel, i phoned my guy at ther spares shop that i buy my stuff from and he phoned me back just now he couldt find the LUK spare code for me but he did source a REPCO clutch kit for me witch consists of a clutch plate, a presure plate and a thrust bearing comes down to R1078.00 and the spare code is R150nk hope this helps but will stil go look for the spare code on the LUK box for you Daniel and get back to you?
Phinx bought a Repco clutch, Midas said it was for an 1800 200SX, and the Clutch fitted, but not the pressure plate, so he re-used his old one.
1x full tilt pull away and the clutch was toast....
PM him, he had a custom 6 puck copper button made using the center of the old clutch, it also didnt cost alot (Comparitively) Its given him quite a number of hassle free km's, no problems, and trust me, he drives like a yahoo (no relation to WooHaa )
P.S. The mechanic that referred him also does toyota cup racing with the same clutches.
Button clutches are great but if you drive traffic everyday pulling and stopping becomes a problem and as far as my info goes it costs a bit moore than a normal clutch because you need a dubble pressure plate made and and and....if you gonna race all the time and only use it here and there it's fine but everyday driving....???? Again it's advice that was given to me so I have no actual experience of what it really costs and what ups and downs it brings.
well, i will also take one of whatever is best (or orraait), so now we are at least three - maybe if you mention that to whomever you ask we might get bulk discount!!!
