removing plastic fan cover

good idea?...bad idea???
wud free up alot of space for those time i need to work in that area

If you are still running the viscous fan then I'd say don't do it, the fan won't draw air through the radiator properly then.

agree with jon and trance...
Even my electric fans don't benifit from sitting flush against the radiator, one of my things todo is to build an little alloy cowling for it.

Ok this may sound stupid.... BUT here goes.
Will you be able to fit 2 fans on the radiator, and still keep the stock fan intact? And also leave the plastic cover....

I had 2 12" fans on....and it drove down to cape town in one shot without any overheating....

Don't remove it unless you are going for electric fans.
The car need it to direct air through radiator.(Too much turbulence without it.)
