Car completely sanded last two weekends by my brothers and I and my girlfriend even helped with a sideskirt - she doesn't like the car as its competition for attention...lol
Started painting on Saturday, but weather a bit crap, the paint was still wet on Sunday morning, so at the moment:
- Base coat and clear coat is on Body
- Bumpers and sides just primed so far
- Should be completely done by next week Saturday (After long weekend)
No pics yet I am afraid...

Just how much lower does the sideskirts make the car? and bumpers to i assume as they all run level

Quite a bit lower - I would guess about 40-60mm. But drop still to come - as well (as soon as the painting is done...)

Hey.. Sorry this is a bit of a highjack... but what did the dressup kit set you back?

Not too bad - R2300 - I don't have R10k to spend on a coil over kit, so many other mods still to come...

I have the same Teins in my car for about 18 months and I love them.
Good balance between looks and functionality with no issues like scraping tyres etc. Even now with the 225/45/18's the car sites perfectly and the wheels fill the arches nicely.

looks awesome

. . . nicely done

if you don't mind me asking, what did this kit cost you? and is it a local kit or imported?
Also, there seems to be a bit of a fitment issue on the left front (right hand side of this pic) where the front bar dips below the bonnet line..... is that inherent in the bumper or are you able to tweak it to line up properly?

sorry for the barrage of questions, but i'm looking to go this route soon and i'm currently in the "research" phase of things
"research phase" loosely translates into "i don't have the money yet"

Hey newbie...
Thanks

Kit cost dependent on exchange rate - front and back you can get from Jap spec on the forum - these sell for about R3 750 each
Sides are imported
My cost was just under R11 000 landed in JHB.
Painting and fitment obviously is additional cost. - works out to roughly R8 000 all in cost for painting and fitting.
I did the fitment of the front and sides and had someone help me with the back.
Painting done by a family friend...
I decided not to fill the bumper in front too much, even though filling was required. At the moment it is very straight and flat.
There is a bit of a dip where the bumper and the bonnet come together, which can't be fixed with allignment and I will need to remove, sand, fill again with fibreglass... project for later - can't spend more on body at the moment
