MORE POWA - collection started

after Wednesday nights practice, which was awesome, i've decided i need more power...
i managed to sort of drift hotstuff's car, and his car felt way more powerful than mine.
i've also now seen the drift competition DVD and i see that i drifted like a fool, so i deserved the spot i got.
i'm now convinced that POWA is my problem. there are two possible solutions... and both involve money - because more power is only possible with more money.
1. start the engine mods for the CA18det
2. install a straight 6 turbo engine
so my POWA piggybank is now open, i'm keen to see how long this will take!!!

so i will put my engine in the classified section, for real this time! if it goes i will do the I6T, if it doesnt then i will mod the CA18det.
so my POWA piggybank is now open, i'm keen to see how long this will take!!!

so legendary, the man quotes himself!

damn right.
when i do a pushup, i dont push me up, i push the world down...
and i dont sleep - i wait!
anyway - the piggybank is still whole, but empty...
so if anyone knows a good way to extract the most low down power out of my crappy CA18, or if they want a crappy CA18, feel free to comment!

hmmm - the manifold's are the same as far as i know, but i already have the cam installed!
what about the piggybank dude...
the RB25 is 10 grand.
the RB26 is 21 grand.
the same toyota motors are literally half the price.
i already have a CA18det, maybe i should just spend money on mods for this engine, cos yourself (vince) and hotstuff ca18det's were performing like champions the other night.
also - jayboy and gremlin seem to do just fine with their ca18det's.
i just have so much grip with my current setup that my engine doesnt seem strong enough!
i reckon i need AT LEAST 200kw's on my rear wheels!

Hi Veecee
Sorry dont shoot the msgr on this one but I dont think you problem lies entirely in a lak of horspower.
I was watching your car on wednesday and power is good.
I was told that your std. springs have been cut for the drop.
If this is not true please let me know, but I have a set of Koenic springs that I purchased for my S14 which will never fit as they are for a S13.
You can have them if you want and it would be interesting to see if they help before you throw money at engine mods.
And I will also give you those blue dash LEDs as soon as I put the red ones in.

thanks lots for the offer stephen. i'll give it a try no problem, but i'm not sure it will help. my suspension is actually quite stiff at the moment, but i do get the feeling that the standard shocks cant dampen the forces of the stiffer springs.
coilovers are definitely on the cards for one of the next mods too. i think that for now though i have plenty of suspension mods, and its time for power mods.
you didnt happen to buy a SR20, or RB25, 1JZ, that you thought would fit your car and didnt??? hehe.

its cool man, i dont like to be a charity case, was just kidding!!!!

Hey VeeCee!
Just my 2c, how about changing your tyre and rim setup.
Maby you just have to much grip for your current power output?
Its just a thought....
Look at jay-boy, George and Hotstuff, there cars are fine, but they run on smaller wheel that you, so maby give it a try and see what it does!
