Howzit fellow SXers
I need a new clutch kit, as the current one is slipping badly.
BUT, I will be uprating the standard motor soon with +-200kw on the wheels & I don't want to waste my money on a standard clutch if it wont be able to handle the power......But the clutch musn't be too hard aswell.
OR will the standard clutch handle that power?....
any recommendations on good clutch kits and where do I buy it from? oh and the price too please!
Thanx
Mad Max (Alistair)

When I was clutch hunting I spoke to the guys at
Spec they where very very helpfull, and was willing to ship directly to me (before the days of Import Parts). They also came highly recommended by the Nico forum guys.
I personally run a Exedy 5puk Sports Tuff clutch (
http://www.exedy.com.au/sports_tuff.htm), it was a ebay lucky strike, that I snatched for R1100 to my door, normally they normally go for £350
Otherwize Chemcool and Draco are running the custom built clutches from Louis Lima, I've personally seen these and build quality is exelent, I've also driven plenty of times with Chemcool and I can say, it works just as well if not better than my Exedy (I would go with this option)
I would stay away from any organic clutches because they will start to slip in time, no matter what guys say, they will start to slip... Button is the way forward, it its for every guy, since driving is more harsh its either that or slippage.

ACT 6 puck organic clutch kit full stop. My opinion. Pricey but effective in every way.
I got smooth city traffic driving and when hoofed it sometimes wheel chirped from 3rd to 4th on smooth surfaces. believe it or not.
It griped liked hell!
