Nissan 200SX Club - South Africa

Hi all!

I'll be posting more details soon, but The Rock are having a massive event on 2nd Feb to promote drifting in particular. Event starts at about 2pm and goes all the way through the night. Some things to look forward to:

- SX's Drifting
- SX club parading our cars!! With the VW club (damn), kinda like ST club and Cobra club last time.
- Show 'n Shine
- Sound competition
- Short drag races on the oval
- Flame throwing if we can get guys whose cars can shoot flames out the back (anyone?)
- Foam party
- Live band
- DJ for rave after 10pm
- Freestyle bike

I'll be meeting up with The Rock maybe next Saturday (16th Jan) to discuss what events we will participate in, how many cars, etc. So whoever is interested in participating, please come along! That includes drifters. Beginners included.

Don't you mean the 26th Jan? I'd like to suggest some cool songs to play for the drifting, compiled the first SX sound track.

Can't wait for this event it is going to be awesome. But if we're going to be in the convoy whoze going to be taking the videos etc?!

Finally an event hapening at the start of the month when I have cash. I will perhaps make it then!

Er what I mean is the message is posted on the 18 Jan and you mention that you're going to see Tim on the 16 Jan to discuss the details.

For the heck of it I'll phone some place that rents out video cameras, could be worth it. Nothing like some HD DV footage..

THE RACEWAY 02 FEBRUARY 2008

As briefly discussed the other day herewith the program for the 02 February 2008.

The day is basically dedicated to the DRIFTERS, complimented by side shows, we do not have enough drifters to run a full 5 hour program as yet, the obvious is that we want to get there sooner than later but in the interim this is the best way to run the DRIFT events.

DAY SHOW COMMENCES AT 14h00 with
DYNO RUNS / CAR AUDIO RUNS / SHOW 'n SHINE / BIKINI CAR WASH GIRLS / FREE STYLE MOTO-X on their own track /
16H00 Live Band
17H30 Grand Parade with the Drifters - they will be based in the big pits - when they ready to come up we want to run the "disco" lights and they will burst through smoke, we will be using our smoker machines.
The car clubs will have their lap of honour only after 17h00 just still working the schedule.
The big screen will be up as well.
GRAND PRIZE GIVING FOR ALL around 20H30 - 21H30
Party time on the infield - we hired a foam unit for a part dry party and part foam party.
We have a few flea market stalls including car accessory stalls

Is there anyway I can get photos of the DRIFTING GUYS I.e., Bruno, Carel with short profiles, in order for me to place this in a program booklet.
Before I forget would you be so kind and ask around who knows anyone who can do CAR FLAME THROWING.

If I may take this liberty of asking you if you know of anyone who would be prepared to sponsor vouchers or cash prizes or trophies etc. We really would like to make this the drift track and make the guys feel honoured in their category - we do have some prizes and we have already ordered the trophies - the name plates are not made as such and I do have time to have a sponsor name engraved - The cost on trophies are R3000 plus VAT.

I wont miss this event!!!!

probably the stock 15" tyre size (should be easier to get)

Do you think there will be a tyre changing facility?

One question, is changing the rear wheel studs the same as the front ones, I have two that are screwed once the nuts come off.
