Sounds like a good idea, maybe wednesday nights - must check with tim if he is willing to put the lights on for us, or else we have to race from work to catch some sun light.

Today was awesome. I'm glad half the guys left early; although IMO you missed out.

Florin pitched up and had a go at the track and there was time for Hotstuff and Bruno to get acquainted in the cabin with some serious knowledge transfer taking place.

Vince you're going to be great! I hope I got some decent footage otherwise you'll have to do it all over again on Wednesday!

You know things are cooking if there's no crowd and yet some random people start shouting "Red car! Red car!" They were screaming for Carel! Or he had his own groupies on practise day, who cares for they were chanting for the red car and it's only an S14   :? :P

Next practise is Wednesday night at 7. The amount of interest in drifting is taking off and so is the popularity of the Rock..

If you're in the area or would like a mid-weak break come and help me provide the moral support on Wednesday night.

Now I know why people go watch the springboks practise.

Did the white R33 pitch up? I was at the club-nizmo photo shoot thing and the guy with the R33 wanted to go through to the rock for some drifting.

Tried calling vc to hear if the club guys were there but guess he was sleeping or working on someones bushes  cause there was no answer...

Ye, that sounds like Florin. Even if you phoned someone that was there you would've struggled to get hold of anybody. Which is not a good thing, but semi-understandable with the noise and stuff.

Next time Doctor G can you tell us about these events before hand. We won't embarrass you :P

hey qwerty,

club-nizmo is the nissan club from zooped-up. a number of the sx club guys are regular posters there too, and G is one of them.

perhaps we could all hook up together for a big club event or something??? i mean we all have something in common!!!

Yeah badge on the bonnet and that is about it... I don't see eye to eye with allot of the posters there...

Maybe because I got the idea most of them are school kids or something I really can't tell

Jislaaikit!!!!!

Saturday was awesome!!! I arrived there late afternoon after getting my car's timing and idling sorted (Thanks once again Veecce). Took the car around the oval and yes, it was my first ever attempt on a track and first attempt at drifting.

After realising that it's not as easy as in the Drift Bible, I accompanied DK Bruno (Who Da Man!!!) showing me how it's done. Boy, did I love it!!!

Florin in the R33 made everything look so effortless and easy. One day when I grow up, I wanna drift in a car like that...

@ Bruno - Thanks for those pointers and the advice.
@ JD - Can't wait to see those pics of my bucket of bolts on the track.
@ Toby, Chemcool, Vlade & Draco - always good seeing fellow club members at any get together...

Looking forward to Wednesday night...

It was fun to see some interest from the 200sx guy's, we need some more drifters to make this a good and growing sport!!

Yeah I reckon if the word gets out that there is something like drift days and people actually do it here in South Africa more and more will join.
