Does anyone know how the electricals and vaccum piping ought to be setup when running a high and low boost setup via a switch???

That has to be done via your aftermarket management system when they install and map it on a dina, assuming that is what you have.....

Then I suggest taking it to the guys that installed it and ask them to map it like that and install the switch....doing it yourself will not help if it was not mapped for it....

Easier said than done...

I've taken out the engine to sort out some odds and ends. Lets's just say that I didn't exactly take note of what pipes go where and was real doff of me not to mark it.

The setup is already tuned for this layout and the switch is installed.

The problem is that this installation was done by Mr Calibrator, whose now in Oz.

Then you should contact Qewrty(JD), he has the same management that was also installed by him.

Thanks, will do...

I know JD's car is an S14, mine's an S13, but I presume the principles are the same...

Thanks anyways... one last thing...

Do I install the adjustable FPR before I send it for dyno, as I do not know what the effects of the installation on the ECU map will be????

Yes, it will be best to do everything before the dina....

Just a quick question “hotstuff” . Sorry for asking  but do you have a walbro fuel pump or any aftermarket unit?
What you planning on running at “high boost” and “low boost”?

Hey Phinx

I have a Walbro 255 pump installed to obviously prevent fuel starvation and also for future mods. Also another reason for fitting the adj FPR?

The idea behind the low and hi- boost scenario is for when I would want to use the car for town driving and everyday traffic and hi boost for on those occassion when out on the track... The car is setup and tuned to run at 0.5 bar at low and 0.9 at high

Why you ask?????

the thing you are looking for is the boost control valve or selonoid or whatever its called. Its the little thing on the passengar side of the engine bay that has three little pipes comming from it aswell as two electrical wires.
One goes to vacuum canister one to turbo and one is left open.
The wires go any way round

It bleeds of the exess pressure, as controlled by the PP Managment, regulating the boost.

I can check how mine is connected and Ill let you know.
Do you still have the stock S13 one or did he fit an Audi one for you?

Just asking...

Because if you installed a FPR and set it to Stock it would lean your whole Map.

But you are going to a Dyno so they will get it right, Also are you using a GT2876?

Did the management come with a Boost control Solenoid?
Becuase the S-13 has no unit as stock.

Ok great I still have the stock S13 one as well, Ill take a pic and check how it is connected up later today.

I had a long discussion with him on how it works before he left.
He said the Audi/VW ones work very vell, keeping boost for longer, will add one of those later, but he also said that boost will probably be higher so a dyno will need to be done after that.
