They are noisey... You hear the gear box noises resonating through the lever because it is not rubber mounted like the stock one. I pulled it off and fitted the stock one back while I am modifying it to be rubber mounted.

Im still loving it!
does transfer more transmission noise into the cabin though
and while im trawling through traffic and really not in the mood to drive the shift feels 'heavy'
but id recommend it to anyone...just love it

Yip... still loving it... that mixed with a Gearbox that works A+ you'll love it...
I got a bit of a cramp the other day because of traffic driving, shifts is a little harder (stiffer) and I use my non wanking arm for shifting

It seems that the 'weight' around the shaft is what vibrates sometimes.
I would recommend tack whelding it at the bottom so it's solidly connected to the shaft, instead of being able to rotate around it.
Also make sure you replace the plastic bushing that goes on the tip.

that or a little bit of super glue / locktight the clearence between the shaft and the weight is not much

Yip nice, but once I have replaced the knob, it will be even better. Got to get used to the 1st gear though.

That wieght is light, even with it off I still get the noises. If I have no gear knob on the lever it is almost gone, a bitch driving with no knob but.

BIt more difficult to drive. Does seem like driving is more of an effort now.
If you're used to a long through, this "throughs" you of track a bit...
I have not experienced additional noise as much though. Then again when I boost it does sound like I have a vacuum cleaner against the ear...
LOL.

Oh snap - cheap knobs at Autozone that fit the shaft thread perfectly for R49.99. Stainless steel.

I've got the nismo knob which screws on and haven't had any vibration noise form the lever aside form the weight around the shaft.
So ja, decen't knob seems to work.
