So what should be my next logical mod under R3k.
So far the car has the following engien mods:
76m zorst from the elbow at the turbo.
very large cone filter
electric fans
I'm leaning towards an upgraded FMIC. Any other ideas?

I think the FMIC is a good idea.

I think a FMIC would be good or a Unichip.

FMIC should only be about R2000, so you have R1000 left.
Oil cooler? Could get one below R1000
Greddy radiator cap from import parts.

Cooler + piping for R2k? Details please.... Sounds good.
ps: Speaking of coolers, I was thinking about pulling the radiator back and putting the FMIC in front of it, but still in the engine bay. That would mean very short and straight pipes to the FMIC, which would reduce costs and help with any lag at the same time.
Only downside is it doesn't look as hawt.

Where can you get a oil cooler for 1K?????Maybe just the cooler without the pipes and filter sandwich?

Apologies, you're right, pipes and silicone will most prob be the other R1k.
I have also done this mod where FMIC in front of radiator in engine bay, radiator moved back...
FMIC not as visible as you would think. Best would be to position in the bumper...
