I spoke to Widowmaker, Snjiman & george about this already.
Now, I'm a sucker for a lekker JOL!!
I like braai's & yes, beer is my baas.
My idea is that we take a nice drive to somewhere remote or not so remote, park off & have a lekker braai wth lot's of beer & very very loud music.
This should happen before xmas & shoud be done on a saturday afternoon.
Harte's has a few nice spots, but anywhere is cool. All we realy need is small shelter, in case it rains.
It will be a nice social, bring your wives or mistresses along & let's make it something to remember!!!

Sounds like a great idea! Harties is a great place as it's not far but far enough to enjoy the ride
When I still had my MG we went on a breakfast run up there, there were about 14 of us and it was great to be surrounded by the same car. That was my first and only breakfast run. But I'd love to do it again. We went to one of the bars there and drank for a few hours before heading back.
I don't know of any places that we can goto that is private tho. If we have some power wherever we go, I can bring my home sound system and pc to play music on. Its been to more parties than I have hehehe.

Very cool idea! Some potential spots to chill out:
Gillooly's Park near Bruma
Zoo Lake by the Joburg Zoo
Any more? I like the Hartes idea, if anyone knows a good spot there, I'm in.

yeah, but more than 4 cars would be nice...
J, I have put the fan shroud back in my car and was actually surprised by the drop in temperature. That thing makes a huge diff
as they said - the driving together is a big part of the fun (checking the mirrors)

Widomaker, that is very very interesting. That fan piece of plastic is not there just for fun. I think WooHaa one said: there is a reason why the Japanese have put it there". So it defenitely tunnels the air as necessary??
About the party. Yes I will be there again and again.

More than 4 x sx's please- please.

Long drive please.

Harties is fine.

Hi Gary, talking about Dbn - Toby was there this past weekend, but your contact details short. Send me a PM with particulars, would like to update on our mobile cellph application, which really comes in handy looking for contacting members. Did you get hold of Preshan yet? I will visit Dbn in March next year and then July 2007 too.

Ok, I second the Hartes idea. How about we drive to the cable car, go up, and have a braai at the top? Downside to that is that we won't be next to our cars

Otherwise, we could drive next to the dam somewhere to take some cool pics like in Daniel's sig

And then of course the sx's from Rustenburg can join? Putzmeister and Sniper from Brits etc etc.
