HOWZIT GUYS.AT LAST IM ABLE TO SIGN IN AS A MEMBER, HAD TROUBLES SIGNING IN FOR MONTHS BUT STUCK IN THERE.
ABOUT THIS PROJECT OF MINE, PROJECT SDC, STANDING FOR"SILVIA DRIFT CONVERSION".
I BOUGHT AN ORIGINAL NISSAN SILVIA S13 AUTO & MY FUTURE ASPIRATIONS WITH IT IS TO CHANGE IT INTO A COMPLETE DRIFT/HAULING MANUAL MACHINE.FOR THOSE NOT TO SURE WHAT CAR THIS IS (IF ANY) , THIS IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS AN S13 200SX
BUT ONLY WITH A BOOT, DIFFERENT HEAD LIGHTS & ROOF.
OTHERWISE THIS HAS THE SAME INTERIOR, ENGINE, DOORS & CHASSIS.
SO IM HAPPY FOR THE PART THAT ITS A LITTLE UNIQUE BUT IT IS IMPORTED SO UNIQUE SPARES ARE A BEAAACH.
IN THE DAYS TO COME I WILL POST SOME PICS AS TO WHAT I'FE BEEN UP TO & WHAT IM BUSY WITH, ILL TRY TO KEEP THIS AS UP TO DATE AS I CAN SO BARE WITH ME & MY SPELLING

Welcome!! Our first S13 Silvia owner . Where did you buy the S13?
They were selling one in PTA last year I think, perhaps the year before that, cant remember, bronze or silver or something like that, any ways parts should mostly be the same as our RS13's except for external stuff of course. Engines are the same but Nissan makes it a mission to get stuff at good prices.

I DID BUY ANOTHER MOTOR & GEARBOX FOR IT BUT I NEED A COUPLE OF PARTS FOR THE ENGINE.& THE PARTS I NEED IM NOT TO SURE OF BECAUSE IM NOT FORMILLIAR WITH THE ENGINE. ALL I KNOW IS THAT THE ENGINE IS AN SR20DET MOTOR & I THINK THE OIL PUMP COZ ITS LOCATED ON THE RIGHTHAND SIDE NEXT TO THE CAMGEARS & SOMETHING JUST BEHIND IT,LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE WATERFLOW OR SOMETHING.WILL NEED SOME HELP AS IM CLEARLY NO EXPERT! :?:

yea I remember now it was green, I saw it on the corner of voortrekker rd and Trou str.

Try posting pics of the engine part, someone is bound to be able to help with the identification.

HI GUYS.
HAD TO FUGURE THE PIC SITUATION OUT FIRST BUT SORTED THAT OUT.
HERE’S THE PICS OF WHAT IVE DONE TO THE CAR SO FAR.
APOLOGIES FOR NOT HAVING PICS OF THE CAR WHEN I GOT IT BUT
USE YOUR IMAGINATION.
FIRST I TOOK OFF THE BONNET, BOOT LID, BUMPERS & FRONT QUARTER PANNELS,
ONE OF THE OIL LINES BURST & THE PREVEOUS OWNER DID NOT FIX IT SO THIS
ENGINE BAY IS A MESS & MAKES FOR THE PERFECT STARTING POINT!!
IM REPLASING THE HARD LINES IN THE ENGINE BAY.
INSTALLING THE CLUTCH PEDAL & MASTER CYLINDER.
GENERALLY DEGREASING EVERYTHING.
REPAINTING THE WHOLE ENGINE BAY AFTER TAKING OUT ALL BITS & PIECES
& SERVICEING / CLEANING EVERYTHING.
THE WIRING WILL BE SORTED OUT ONCE THE ENGINE (SR20DET REDTOP) IS IN
& A STANDALONE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IS INSTALLED.

TAKING OUT THE INTERIOR.
I’M NOT TAKING OUT HE DASH YET, ILL GET TO THAT LATER WHEN
I DECIDE WHAT IM DOING WITH THE INTERIOR.

THE NEXT BIG THING WAS TO PULL OUT THE OLD ENGINE
& THEN CLEAN UP THE ENGINE BAY,
GOOD THING I HAD MY GILLFRIEND THERE TO HELP.
COZ IT WASN’T AS EASY AS I THAUGHT, BARING IN MIND
IM COMPLETELY NEW AT THIS.
AT LEAST WE GOT IT OUT WITH THE CAR IN ONE PIECE.

THE WEEK BEFORE JUST FOR THIS OCCATION.

ONE WORD OF ADVICE;IF YOURE ARE ALSO REBUILDING A CAR & YOU ARE CAPABLE OF BUILDING YOUR OWN CRANE, DO IT! ITS WAY CHEAPER THAN BUYING ONE.
I ONLY USED 100mm X 50mm RECT TUBE & A CAR JACK’S HYDRAULIC JACK.VERY EASY.

BTW, the reason why you couldn't see your pictures is you had HTML & BB code disabled on your posts, just check your profile settings, I think I did change it to allow BB & HTML, your code syntax was correct...

i've only ever seen one other one for sale in SA. the owner was a japanese diplomat or something.

but it was also a non-turbo and automatic.

its a good thing an SR20det is going in there!
