2x4 speakers

Any body know where to get them?(new) my front speakers are making a noise if I play too loud, would like to get replacements, perhaps for the rear too, don't know If my rears are still working they not connected. I'm not really to keen on making something work just a relative simple swap.
hehe sorry for jumping into the same boat as you, Vlade

Any shitty radio shop will have 2 x 4 inches. I upgraded my front to 5 1/4 inch and that was so simple. I have 6 x 9 in the back parcel tray, you can buy my whole tray if you want, I have a new one with no holes and will be fitting some speakers back in their original spot.

Thinking about this...
Since a whole lot of members on the forum owe me money
Thought about it, thanks but no thanks.
Think I'll build some sidewalls in the boot, with some plywood this weekend and fit some 6x9 in there... I got a set of 400W Kenwoods lying around.
But I would have liked a set of 4x2 for free

Piece of piss. VC has the template; cut it out of hardboard, cut the hole for the speaker, paint it, fit it, dead straight forward.

I actually bought a set of Jensen 4x6 to fit in there (I think they are 4x6 not 4x2). Anyway, fitted them, but since I didn't have an amp to drive them, they sounded kak, so I put the standard ones back on. Only "mod" needed was to cut out the original harness connector (yea, I did some crazy things back then

). Anyway, I can look for them (think I gave them to a friend who isn't using them), and if I find them, you can have them
Oh, and I think I'm one of the people that owes you money!

Toby I think you're right. 4x6 is the size, not sure why I thought 4x2.
Anyways, there are some plastic covers that angle the original speakers in a certian way. The 4x6 are direct replacements for these covers. I didn't feel like cutting wood and making new holes etc. Good quality 4x6 will do the job.

I cut the template out from the nissansilvia site to fit my 13cm(i think) sony speakers, turns out the template was downscaled or something, I was gatvol after hard work that accomplished nothing, so I positoned them as well as I could (not the best fit tho) and made new holes, they work and are behind the door panel , so I dont care, besides they sound a hell of a lot better than the old ones which made scratching noises when I turned it up.
