HANDLING

What do you guys think of the sx's handling?? Have any of you guys put it on a track, what was it like?? What mods have you done to improve the handling??
I have poly-utharene pro bushes allround from Whiteline in Aus, these made a huge difference and made the car much stiffer and allow more castor to be dialed in. Also have Koni fully adjustable dampers/shocks. A custom made front strut brace, REALLY works well and looks great. Just gotta get round to making the rear, only prob is I want it with quick release clamps incase I need to load something big. 17inch rims and tyres also help the traction problem I had. BIG front disks, cross drilled, ventilated and grooved, help the emergency stops.

Sounds good, wish i had the money to do all that. Right now all i have is a pipe dream.
Id imagine youd be looking at getting sub-frame locking collars next?
a 2way LSD will shave off a good few seconds around the track or even on the strip

Where did you get those bushes from? I need to replace mine, but Nissan refuse to sell the bushes separately - they sell it together with the control arm!

Powerflex make em. Surely there should be a SA distributor by now.

I got them from
www.whiteline.com, they are in Australia but do international deliveries. It comes as a bush kit, all the bushes on the chassis. These are the handling pros, they offer everything for the 180sx handling, all this stuff is proven to work.
Next I am hoping to get some adjustable blade sway bars, front and rear, also from whiteline but the freight is pricey because of the size of the boxes.
What strut braces are you guys using at the moment?? Import parts want like R1400 each, they flipping nuts. I used a E46 BMW bar becuase its the length I needed and got the mounts laser profiled bent and I welded it all together. It looks much better than the ones that import parts sell and works great.
