I am aware that the garret t25 and t28 fits on the oem branches and downpipe, are there any other turbos that will fit that gives you more....the only t28 I can find is brand new and goes for almost R7000.
Somewhere there must be a more powerfull turbo that fits oem.

I dont think it will cost that much to cut off your old flange and weld the new one on Derek. I can bring my old manifold tomorrow if you want to have a look at it. Havent got a downpipe yet.

Derek, I refer to our conversation with the new met sx owner called Joe. The sx owner we met at Swartkop Raceway. We need to further investigate. I see a few ads in SNS with T3/T4 but dont know if it is Garret etc. For the other viewers, we believe this Garret T3/T4 ballbearing fits perfect on 200sx s13 std manifold????

I have contacted a few Turbo guys including the shop that sold Joe the GarretT3/T4, unfortunately al the backfeed I get is that the turbo will not fit straight on the manifold, Joe had to have a non standard manifold and not know that. :(

The easiest way to do this is to take your existing turbo & have it modified. That is what I did.
Remember, I', running a T28, the only difference is the compressor wheel is bigger.
So the guy got the biogger wheel, & machined the housing & it all fits together.

Also bear in mind that the t28 came in two variants. One produced 147KW & the latter was 167KW. Both ran 0.5bar boost. However the biggest difference was the size of the compressor wheel.

I thought about putting a t3/t4 hybrid but if I wanted to keep the existing manifold then the same would apply, they would take my turbo & modifiy it. If I wanted a new turbo then I had to have a manifold made.
