hi guys is it possible to do the oil drain mod that is done on a rb to a ca18det? and what is the benifit

Point is to drain oil back to sump from head, some CAs oil returns can become block over the years.

Kinda pointless on a well running motor IMO.

Yes. But keep that revs high for a long time and you'll end up runnig with a dry sump. Result. Bearing s kaput, and how many of us were victims...

Rather be safe than be sorry. I don't think any of us will risk that if you spend 90k on a motor.

If you have excessive breathing which leads to excessive sump compression on high boost you can have as many drains as you like but the pressure would still need to vent and press out the oil at the tapped covers. If that is the case you may be better off to just modify the sump and fit an extra drain pipe next to the existing drain pipe for the turbo which you can use by connecting the breathers to a breather tank with a catch tank which would in turn then allow the oil to drain back to the sump instead of it being pushed out of the motor into the atmosphere. By thus method the engine has another hole which would allow the oil to be drained back into the system instead of being lost.

Also fit a oil cooler to allow for more oil in the system which would mean a cooler oil, to my understanding the warmer the oil gets the thinner it would get and make for a bigger chance of blow out.

Another option would also be to enlarge the stock sump so that it may take atleast 1 liters of extra oil.
