Guys maybe most or all of you know this but if it can help one person...great
It has now happened to me twice, once with the SX and once with my wifes Micra, I service the car, do what you have to, then put the new oil filter on, everything lookes dandy, then after a while I start the car to run the new oil through, suddenly realizing all the oil is pumping out and shut down the engine.
After inspection I see that the previous oil filters oil seal stayed behind and caused the new filter not to seal properly.
Needless to say, if you don't see this in time, you can kiss your engine goodbye and at the very least, loose a whole sump full of new oil and of course there's fucken oil everywhere!!
As I stated this has happened to me twice now with GUD filters, maybe the others may do the same, it has never happened before...make sure the old seal did not stay behind!!
