HEY DUDES im having pronlems with my altenator has anyone got a alterativly cheap method of replacing or fixig i think VLADE u can mybe help me if posible please

Yes i know i took it to an auto electrician but they cant find spares for the thing so they are a looking for replacement alternator , aparently my diodes and my stator packed up

so im convused

fixed mine a while back,usually its just the stones(not sure what they are called)in the alternater that need to be replaced,they cost like 7 rand each.

i know they are called brushes and my brushes are fine it is my stater windings and diodes that needs atension

Dude you have a S13 or S14? Might have one for you, it came with my replacement motor.

Did you take your old one to Midas/Autozone as a sample. Only tell them it is for a Nissan. You can buy cheap ones from about R250 from these places. Sure the autolec is taking you for a ride. The diode replacements are very universal. Photos?

no i havent cous i think u will only get them from dealers and the xtrail altenator udea i dont know about that cous the sx alternator is 90 amp and i think its gona be a bitch to fit

just rebuild the thing yourself!!!

i know a friend of mine often replaces the bearings and electrics (not sure what they're called exactly) all the time.

but he has issues!!!

To mutch efort and im still siting without a car can no one help me with this i went to nissan and just the rectivier costs R1850 and a complete altenator is R4500 comon someone please help

Send it in to a sparky (auto electrician) the over haul alternators all day.
