Hey guys i currently have a rb25det motor with a topmount exhaust mani and t3/t4 turbo, i can get a brand new Holset HX55 turbo for a really good price and would like to know how would that turbo run on the rb25det? how much lag? please any help would be appreciated.

It will spool too late. Not going to be fun to drive.ir you want to go holset , rather hx35. A correctly sized turbo will always beet a turbo that is too big for its application. My sx with a hx35 out performs our gtr. It also has better boost response. Are you looking for a budget turbo or a good setup?

Thanks for the reply @ vipercape i heard the HX35 is an insane turbo,im working on a buget turbo for now but if i had the cash i would go for the precision 6262 or Garret GT3571R but i will not get the HX55 as i dont want to start boosting next week lol.
