Hey guys,

So I finally put on the Coilies that I bought from Barry, and I must say what an awesome kit!!

I have a question though : My front right wheel is running at a negative 2 camber even after adjusting it and after having "lift up" the front suspension to help get rid of the negative angle on the coilies the best I can get is negative 2. So what I did to "keep it correct" is to adjust the left front wheel at negative 2 as well. I am not setting this car up as a drifting car, but would like to drive with it daily and maybe do a track day or two in future. Would this negative 2 degrees seriously chow my tyres? What other suspension goodies can I buy to correct it more? (Keeping in mind that everything else underneath is still stock)

Any help would be appreciated!!

Doesn't sound right. Something is bent or not aligned properly.

The lower control arms can be loosened and moved inwards a bit - should help to get the correct camber.
Also, the upper mounting hole on the coilover bracket is usually slotted a bit to give of adjustment there.

As an example - on my S13 with the upper mounts in the centre position and my car lowered 20mm my front camber is precisely 1.2 degrees negative on each side - exactly as I wanted them.

2 degrees of negative camber will wear your tyres very quickly on the inside.

Eish! That is not good news at all!

The sad part is that I have not really lowered the car at all in the front yet...and it is already so negative, imagine if I would to lower it more!! Bye bye tyres

Did you install the coilovers?

Or is it a wheel alignment shop telling you this?

I got it installed, but I was with them every second. I even had to help them here and there, so I saw this with my own eyes....

I was thinking I should take that wheel off and see if I cant put spacers in...?

I'm thinking there is some user error here.

Are the top mounts centered?
Did you pull the hub upright while tightening the lower coilover mounts to the hub? Thus using the slotted hole to give the most clearence between the wheel and coilover?

The adjustable top mounts should be able to give you a lot more adjustment than you need. Perhaps read through a few coilover installation instruction sets to see what you are doing wrong.

Look you could very well be right!

I will take your advice and go read some info, maybe I missed something somewhere.....
