Ok i know this has come up before but its decision time
as far as conversions go not overly worried about power but really want to know cost wise and swap difficulty.

depends what you using the car for.
track = SR
road= SR & RB
sound = RB
cost SR is cheaper all round. modding a RB is crap expensive. But RB and gearbox (fat box) will handle alot more power stock .
Thats the toss up. If you looking at BIG hp then SR box wont handle power so a RB fat box convertion will have to be done.
Overall the RB will be alot more expensive and give you a lower resale value, been there done that lost a shit load of money

RB is really nose heavy, kak expensive to mod but..........what a king size boner 24/7 !!
and the sound !
I simply lurve them.....
But if it were a light weight race car like our friend from P.E. ? That car is just awesome, light weight big power engine. The right combo.
I did not help at all, huh ??

+1
Money wise sr is much cheaper hands down, But if you chasing the big power RB is king because of the castiron block you can boost much much more and like BK said its a 24/7 hard on

,sr on stock internals i would not go more than 260kw on a RB 260kw is a walk in the park sooo basically you get more reliable power with a RB. What sr are you looking at red top(straight top)R11000 or black top(notch top)R16000
Availability of the parts for the two sr20det motors:
Red top (straight top)=like finding a illegal immigrant in capetown(very easy)
Black top(notch top)=like finding a very hot girl thats done a RB26 conversion to her s13(very very difficult)

No, definitely not a race, but, I am sure someone is going to go one or two kilometres over the speed limit?

there are going to be 3 car clubs taking part, I will give a nice chat before hand so the 'rules' are clear BUT there will be +- 20 cars with petrol flowing through the drivers mind , the guys will catch on KAK HAHAHAHAHAHA
I know from experience the Socsa boys are going to drive the pass hard and will probly take it easy on the long stretch, thats where the sx and Z boys like to play so its going to be great fun
