Seems its going to have to be the 19th for us too, as something "went wrong" on the way back from Mossel Bay yesterday. Either the turbo or turbo gasket. Making .3 bar of boost max and a strange sound. Hope its not the turbo cause I bought it new and have never abused it. Will have to wait till next week to see cause the car is to low to creep under and look. What a start to 2014!

Any smoke? I have had a leaking turbo gasket, squeals like a pig when coming into boost and could not manage desired pressure.
Hope thats the problem.

Found this today... cracked inner side shaft.
If I can source and fit in time for run I'm keen!

Will make work of thsi on Monday.

May have found a set of side shafts. Will know by Monday.

No, no smoke at all. Just also a type of squealing sound and no boost at all, so maybe the gasket. Wednesday we will see. If it is the gasket, I will machine the two surfaces and do away with the gasket so it wont happen again. Cheers.

Hi. Yes, that is ok. Are you referring to the first run or the disaster to Hermanus with the Subaru guys? The first run was a nice route, although a bit bumpy with coilies on, but that is fine. Are we gonna pm the guys who want to join, or just post it? I think the bad luck with the Subaru guys was because the traffics were waiting for the bikers who race around Rooiels on a Sunday, and they are always there because I have been pulled over lots when I ride bike that way on a Sunday. Maybe we just post the route?
