Cheers boet, thanks. Need that ignitor that you got. Let me know please..

Cut the Greddy intake today,ol` Stew nearly had a heart attack....needed to trim it shorter to weld the flange on for the t/b pipe bend. That is made of stainless (old 727 Boeing bypass duct in the engine...) but it will do the job and does not look too shabby. Just could not find an ally bend that diameter or that tight.

Next up will be the flange for the t/body itself....and the water pump pulley...and the...Mmmmm..

Help !! Need to get a damper for my motor but have no clue what each one does or what will work best.
I need some guidance here please.
Linky to ATI site and specs for dampers.

Why not run stock?

ATI make brilliant stuff hey. But if you had the motor dynamic balanced then stick with what it was balanced with.

You reckon bud ?? What I can glean from "the net " is that an aftermarket dynamic balancer or dampener is the thing to do with revs in the 8k range.
This engine has run 9k in the Stegea all its life with the std one ..maybe says something here but Nick did say it would be better to do a fluid damper, ATI or similar..

Cheers Bman , how is little Bman doing ??

That pulley will be balanced with the crank assembly. By changing to ATI it will now be unbalanced. Maybe send the new ATI pulley to be balanced to match the original...

So I send RON , my lackey to ALB to collect AND pay for the ignitor. Lekka ! RON comes back and i`m seriously chuffed.

ALB phone and ask who did I pay ?? Turns out RON , as in MORON , had the cash in his wallet and forgot to hand over the cash !! Sorry boet !

I did change his name from Dale though...
