Got the IC piping from a dude in CT, but he doesn't do that anymore.

I also found out that the piston guide (shaft thing) is worn out on piston one. that was what was making the knocking sound... so no I need to pull Piston no 1 and replace the piston and conrod with a known good one.... sigh... well at least I know whats going on...

Need now to buy a second hand turbo (pref T25, T28) and get that CAS from Nizmo.... hopefully the beast will run sooner than expected... The motor will still be up for sale after everything is running again. then at least the prospective buyer can test drive it

haha nope. but used the cleanest best looking one... and that one was in cyl no 1... so wil check if I can't use my old conrod with the piston. or something like that.

i have DE pistons some where ^^... if you want you can have them...

and not really... cas only here in may, still saving for new turbo. and pulling the motor out over easter

So... havent updated this in forever...

CAS Has arrived. Just need to make a plan to fetch it. Will be working on the SR for the next week so I can pull it out on the 16th. will be pulling the pistons and rods to get checked out.

Might respray the fronted while I'm at it... need to do my girlfriends Corrolla in any case might as well respray it in SX white

fitting a set of 195/45/50's to the black TSW's the SX has on. and slamming it to the ground not practical I know... but sue me.

And before someone says something about spending cash on tyres and not a turbo... I got them for free The turbo is next on my list. so if anyone has a spare T28 lying around lemme know.

Also I'm looking for those little pintels on the bottom of the injectors... mine are all buggered. anyone know where I can source those?

This is my little update for now...

Been so busy not paying attention to the Sil80 I'm feeling horribly guilty now... so she needs some tender loving care, and thats what she's gonna get in the next couple of weeks.

Well its been a couple of months... still no love I did however buy myself a engine crane and a new turbo

Still waiting on the T28 aep886 though

So as soon as the crane arrives i can pull the engine and start working on it.

so ja... hopefully she will live again soon.

So to my dismay... I bought a turbo that... well... its to DAMN BIG! even bigger than the GT28RS that I was running...

So now... well i donno

got it for a bargain so can't really complain to much I guess...

Who wants a BIIIG exh AR turbo? haha. Well the engine crane should be here this coming weekend so will be able to pull the engine at least.

So my mini to do list is as follows:

Pull engine
Pull out piston no1 and replace gudgeon pin
Check rings and bearings
Put piston back
Fit new head gasket
Put together the engine (might need to source new SR injectors - anyone?)
Put engine back in car
Hold thumbs and pray
Start Car....


So ja not to much to do...
