PFB makes some good points.
My feelings?
XMS, nice system, when it works...
Dick and go, they both are nice for race, just not enough resolution for street.
Problem with the dick and go is that they just dont have enough programable load & RPM points to really take advantage of mapping in a turbo motor especialy when it runs higher boost levels.
For a NA car they work mint, for a very low boost motor (.6 bar) they also still work semi ok, but as soon as you running decent boost like 1.5 bar it means that you can only map in 20% stages so like 1 in vacuum 1 @ 0 and and 3 in boost? i dont know about anyone else but the thought of programming at 1bar and then only again at 1.5bar is just stupid,
Think thats 25 programable points,,, near all decent managment systems use a 20X20 map = 400 points.
The key to making good reliable, usable and stable power along with fuel consumption when your not on the loud pedal is the ability to map it at all the desired points, good example is Myprodol's car, 11km/L at 130/140 and ran an 12.2 on break in boost... should get even lighter on fuel as everything finnishes seating.
Now, the next fun thing is finding a tuner that will actualy know to map it, let alone how to make it run perfectly at every point, bet you with the fuel prices these days though its worth spending the money doing it right the first time, probably save R150-R200 fuel per tank with a properly mapped ECU with a decent resolution.
For a race car when your turned off or all out the basic systems work well, for street, i would want as many load points as possible.

jup RAW and Gary are right, I need to get my XMS tuned properly cause it really runs good for those lets show the GTI what a fast car is runs, but when driving very carefully under 2000rpm fuel consumption just sucks balls
I just wish I knew wtf all the stuff meant on the mapping software, altho I know how to change the PRIME haha, I would tweak the maps, but seeing as that I don't know what does what and how ratio's must be i'm sitting with a map I suspect is way to rich.
Dammit. Ok thats the end of my rant

so...
on my gotech software there are 32 programmable load sites for every 500 rpm.
so some basic math:
7500rpm/500rpm = 15.
32 load sites and 15 RPM groups.
so 15x32 = 480 load sites.
is that NOT enough???
or am i being stoopid too???

Clearly gotech have upgraded their software quite significantly, last time i had the displeasure it was 5X5...
Wonder if they got the coil pack problems sorted out, remember ravi having his car at gotech for 6 months while they tried to get it to work correctly, eventualy went back to tator.
yeah, there is a simple explanation for this coil problem, but last time i opened my mouth about it, got told im stupid..Wonder if they got the coil pack problems sorted out, remember ravi having his car at gotech for 6 months while they tried to get it to work correctly, eventualy went back to tator.

anyways, think the big problem around the forum is okes not having respect for each others opinions, i mean you can disagree, debate ,argue
and still respect each others viewpoints...

LOL @ rezlo - i was aiming that more at gary!!! (th whole 9 minute thing!!!) but yeah 32 load sites every 500 rpm.
the coil thing (and 300 i definitely dont think you stoopid!) i took my gotech pro to gotech to have another coil driver added. so now it has 4 coil drivers that are able to fire coils directly. so i'm hoping that i dont have issues with it.
