I've only got 2 spare network cables, please bring if you have. We should probably worry about anti-virus software as well. I run Windows only for games in a closed lan environment, so no anti-virus on my pc's. Any free downloadable recommendations?
Cables, desks, switches, multi adapters, fridge etc. all organized

Perfect... what we then can do we can tell all the guys to set there IP config settings to auto detect and let the DHCP of the router assign us IP's that way we won't be sitting for hours trying to assign IP's to every one.... You might just want to unplug your ADSL connection for the time that we are there... 5+ pcs doing internet requests might just steel allot of your cap

Try comodo anti virus and firewall. They are available as separate products with free registration. I know the firewall is very good but I'm not sure about the anti-virus. Seems better than nothing!
Spybot s&d is also good if you surf the net a lot. I guess that counts for most of us here

Window, I don't get the point of that pic?
Thanks Johansx for an awesome gaming experience! Vlade and I rocked up at Johan's house at about 11am. Nismo200sx joined us a little later. Johansx had a nice setup at his place - lots of desk space and power points, even coffee

All we had to do was set up our rigs and plug into the router. Vlade and I had a few practice runs of GTR2 before we all setup Need For Speed UG2. Our first proper 4-player game started at about 1pm (see what I mean about taking forever to setup?)
We played lots and lots of NFSUG2, including circuits, drags, and outruns. We all had our victories, although it seemed Nismo200sx had the edge initially, and Vlade once he finally managed to load up his personal profile of fast cars. Johansx showed some serious N4S skills too with his insanely fast Sentra. I got lucky a few times
And then we loaded up GTR2. Track racing is really awesome and we had loads of fun practicing and then racing each other. Due to the amount of time I spend playing this game, I won all the games

The other guys were new to the game but improved very quickly, getting to within 2 seconds of my lap times. Nismo200sx managed this while playing with the keyboard! Respect
Eventually we decided it was time to eat, so we fired up the braai at around 5pm. While that was happening, we watched an Option DVD on Johan's projector, and packed up our rigs. We ate, chatted a bit, and eventually left his place at around 6:15pm.
Thanks again Johan for hosting the event! We'll be doing this again and I hope more people can join us next time

Johan, please post the pics when you get a chance...
