Howzit

Fitted the new Tomei cams this morning to the sentra and took a few comparison pictures between the 270's and a proper import cam.

Unfortunately the camera and my bad pictures don't really do the tomei's justice.

The ramp up is allot more aggressive the valve is open at 80% to 100% longer plus the extra few millimeters lift.

Impressions
-------------

OMG, I have low down torque, I didn't know how much, I had lost when moving over to the 270's. I also don't get that 'surge' of power like with the 270's at 5500Rpm.

The car pulls from idle to 7000Rpm nicely.The car just keeps pulling but to be honest, I can feel the car doesn't pull that hard as it did in the last 500Rpm between 7000Rpm and 7500Rpm.

The car starts better then it did with the 270's my compression is way up (obvious). Just putting my foot down in 1st gives a little slip from the tires but now my clutch is starting it crap.

And this is all untunned and on one of the hottest days in PTA, I need to install the Wide band and check the fueling again the start with the timing.


One strange side effect is my car is a $%^ load louder then what it was think its time for the 63mm

63mm Exhaust fitted last week...

Car is doing great pulls hard and is returning a 8.5l\100KM consistently with the PTA to JHB traffic.

Good Start the project efficancy.

I installed the pulleys yesterday, Installation is not an easy task it took me about 4 hours of constant annoyance to get them installed.

The stock pulleys total weight is 3KG's compared to the 950gram's of the after market pulleys.

Wow man, haven't heard from you in a long time. Good to see the STI is still going strong!

If I had known I would have ordered a clutch as well then we could have split shipping.

Well Guys, I just got paid and now, I’m broke again.

It’s not a very good feeling dropping that much cash on a single item for your car but, I bought my SR20VE today.

Total costs: R6950 including delivery to my house

did you ever get a dyno of the DE with the cams ?
