picked up this bad boy.. still shaking :)... youd swear i was driving an upside down car the way the general public looks at it... hard to be suBtle.

1st and second are pretty wild to say the least... from there on the 255's seem to do the job and its fairly driveable :)

Have to say a BIG THANKS to Mical again... AWESOME job boet! very happy to be steering this thing again.

couple other things he did while it was at "Exotic Customs"

Mounted new seat frame (staunch!), rails and OMP seat adjuster thingy.. + fitted my ghetto Bride Mold.. just a temporary till i finish the real ones off.
Water Meth is now completely in and working.. with some Speed SHop Boost juice.
FP guage
Rev counter
Water Temp... all working
umm soz Mical cant think of everything right now there were so many small fiddly jobs... going to use it for a bit then it'll go back for some other Tweaks.

been quiet.. for a reason. Thanks to Mical for getting the car running again... but then by no fault of his work the Haltech ECU decided to fail after about 80kms .. again. and literally as we got to the 'track' to give it a shake down.. we were all pretty dissapointed to say the least. Currently the ECU is enroute ( again ) to Australia for re-repairs... cost just shy of 3k to 'fix' the first time.. lets see how much it costs this time :(

Thanks To Nigel for taking me for spin in your Drift bmer that day.. was fun, and you getting some proper skillz there,i was well impressed and jealous!

or complete rewire??? something has to be damaging the ECU if it was fine after repair and now broken again... electrical spike or something I am sure...

i agree, the problem was in the loom somewhere... anyway i had the Haltech repaired again and it'll be back soon... i planned to sell it but it seems like someone already dibzzed it.

After all this international back & forward kak.. ive opted for a locally supported ECU .... "Perfect Power" is to be Franks new brains. It arrived this week, lets hope for the best. We gonna start from scratch .. new loom new everything. well when i say we.. i mean Mical :)

took the sx up to JHB to the Perfect Power 'HQ' whent back up to collect 2 weeks later ... Very nice guys.. super friendly, dont really want to talk about the new tune though, atleast not yet.. as it still seems to be a WIP. .. meaning pay for a job .. but still have to take car home and finish/do the job properly... awesome.

... anyway.. while in JHB after 2 days of nonstop work and sourcing parts like new altinators... i got a bit of track time at the Rock thanks to Earnest and Tim... dam it fealt good to be at the S.wheel after sooo long even if only for less than 30 mins... but that was pretty much where the smiles ended. the 272 cams are just silly ( atleast with my current turbo ) .. only getting boost after 5k rpm and car is only tuned to just over 7k .. so it made it flippen hard to play with. i was dancing on my clutch pedal like mad to get some power out of the thing and to try keep revs up above the 'many flat spots' .. but it was just pointless. Due to the setup third gear wasnt an option... so i was in 2nd the whole time.. i could clutch kick into a power slide but at transition points the revs dropped below 5k and id loose all power, couldnt even get through 1 pair of tyres :( had my Gopro filming it all.. but honestly not worth a watch.. besides my 'off'.. that was fun ha ha.

Sx is back in Durbs with Doctor Mical... making the rats nest wiring pretty again.I cant afford a proper turbo.. so im concidering changing back to my old stock cams.. as atleast i had a useable rev range with some low down grunt.

The new Diff feels great.. silky smooth with no noise, almost worryingly smooth. Could just do with a bit more lock on the deccel.. will get Ken to sort this after Phakisa. Going to Phakisa with the semis only.. aiming for a solid sub 2min lap this time.
