you guys always say this, but think about it. a diff costs like 700-800 dollars in the states. multiply that by 8 you get 5600-6400. a diff is a heavy bulky item, so shipping will be very expensive - almost the same as the cost of the item, and then the import duties, and ...

and this is my favourite part...

you guys dont like it if a business makes a profit. so if the importing company adds a 10% markup its unacceptable!!!

come on!

@vlade - this is not only aimed at you, its a few other members too!!!

But VC you know your self when shipping stuff by ship is blerry cheep... so the shipping of big heavy items is not the case, also import costs on motorparts is cheap, any electronics is expensive.

So Say all in all the Thing Costs R7000... a 10% markup results in a price being R7700 not R9000 or R12000

Look a 10% markup is also sh!t, and doesn't even cover operating costs and all that sh!t, but don't expect me to pay your ripped off price, then I'll rather DIY... I'll support oaks, if there price is reasonable, but on some items the guys just rip you off... any one would agree, some oaks will just pay, because its a hassle to DIY. The stores argue, we don't sell enough, but I'll argue your prices aren't competitive enough!

Any way, if you are a reseller of the diff, you won't be paying the ebay price of $800 you'll receive it less than than the recommended reselling price

Dude this country is a rip off on parts that why I'm importing most of my set-up know

Lets take my Wideband for example I phone prisision racing since autostyle doest sell the product anymore and they are the local suppliers and got a quote from them , It was cheaper in the end to import directly just one item from the company in the states pay both shipping and VAT plus customs then to buy it here.

Plus above that I got a Rude phone call from prisision telling me that they shouldnt have sold me the item because they are the local rip off dealers
