Sorry to hear :( So you hadn't done a full rebuild? Just the head?

Charl. how do you know it is the big ends? That engine is recently built isnt it?

wasn't a rebuild. only the head was recently done so it was just skimmed and preasure tested. i put a jap import motor in last time. the other engine did main bearings. this sounds like the big ends, its a lighter knock than the mains. what i meant with new car is the sx keeps beaking leaving me without transport, so now i'l be mobile and do a propper rebuild (forged etc) which should take 6-12 months
