Been pretty quiet, sorry, just moved into my new house.. no phone/internet.. and im not allowed to upload pics from work :(... SX is looking sexy on its new 18' Rota GTR-D wheels. Still waiting for the fatboy 12j rears to arrive, so ive had to use the skinny 9.5j on the back untill then :) can anyone post pix for me?

Otherwise... ok so ive had a number of small niggly issues with my SR since the build...

sneaky tears in map vacumm pipe
not boosting
spluttering coming onto boost - changed from ngk 6 too ngk7's.. this helped
oil smells on boost
WG fluttering
...

...seems like ive sorted it all... the major issue was the WG fluttering.. everyone was saying it was either the Boost controller set up wrong or a boost leak... whent through those options and nothing changed significantly... so i took the WG off and had a look... lol. it had obviously sucked in water when my water pipe burst... had surface rust making it sticky.. to the point where it would sieze occasionally. i cleaned out the rust and moisture.. gave it a proper service along with the BOV.. and now its boosting way smoother than before though now its only boosting to 1.1.. not 1.4 where it was previously set to on the dyno. Also the car doesnt feel crazy strong like it did before... so im guessing the newly lubed WG means i need to re-fiddle my Boost Controller.

The 2 main issues i have remaining is the Oil smell on boost and grinding into pretty much every gear.

Oil smell is probably becuase i dont have enough breathing capacity out the tappet cover. i have just one line going to a oil breather tank and another ( one way ) line going to the bottom side of the Greddy intake manifold. Another problem from this is ive found lots of oil resedue inside the manifold.. and the oil is going into all the small vacumm air pipes.. changing the colour of the pipes from oil soak... hmmm? so im guessing i'll have to move the oil pipe away from the intake... should i even run one to the intake system at all? i never used to have one. Id prefer to just run that rear breather line to a seperate breather tank.. like before.

then the gearbox problem. When the car is off.. i can select gears easily... as soon as i startup its hard work to get into any of the gears and i usually also end up grinding it into gear. im thinking clutch... or is it just time to refill my leaky CA18 gearbox?

top up the oil in the box, you will find that it will be easier to change gears

Sounds like you have a clutch problem. Might just need to bleed it again. Run all the breather pipes into a catch tank, not into manifold.
