haha. yeah thats a bit too big... can build myself 'n mini PC for about R2k and then the two screens for about R1200... so say a total of R4k with keyboard ect.

Should be fun for long roadtrips and a quick tune on the road. hehe

Ok so went for engine clearance today... What a breeze....

Basically went to the traffic dept. asked a few Q's got the forms and then went to the police station. Got there gave the forms to the Insp. on duty. Went out to the car, checked the engine number, wrote some stuff down and went back into the police station.

Waited there for them to check everything on their servers and done.

Got the papers back from them, went to the Traffic office again and renewed the licence with the new engine number.

Total Cost R300 for the licence.

Awesomeness! Car is legal again!! whoop whoop!

Thanx man.

No not yet...

Its seems that the battery doesn't keep charge. as if something drains it when its standing still/switched off.

The altenator works fine cause I start the car and then remove the battery terminals and the car still runs. So not sure what it can be...

Wow....that sounds almost familiar....my Z does the same....the battery charges but when the car stands for 3-4 days then there is not enough juice to start the car....it turnes but comes short.....new battery....and alternator charges....

mmm... well I have a new battery... I've read somewhere that it might be the two wires coming out of the altenator that could cause a issue like this. will try and test the theory over the weekend.

Was having the same problem, thought it was the alternator so sent it in,

turned out to be the alternator fuse and they still charged me R1400

So try check that basic often overlooked problem
