So there I was, standing in the queue at Spar this evening... Decided to glance through the new Max my Ride magazine.
Suddenly on page 102 I spot a really neat and oh so clean S14. That stance of that car is one of the best I've seen... On a daily nogal.
Nice one BK!

Jis, where do I begin...........
I did not want to post anything untill all was done, new boost pipes, allie lekker goed..
Unfortunately the last two weeks have been hell with this car..
Firstly the Holset turbo I fitted expired rather spectacularly last Sunday while giving a motorbike carrots..3 days for a turbo, a new record for me..
So Monday we fit the GT3076R ..Great stuff, works like a dream ! Yesterday I stop off after a spirited run, go do some business , get back and start her up..Jirre, the military cannot build such effective smoke screens !!
The mist over Edenvale this morning ?? That`s not mist, that`s the remnants of my smoke cloud from yesterday !!!
Drove her about a kay back to the shop with oil pumping from every orifice that the turbo had !
Pulled the drain off after seeing something that made me sh*t my rods.
The guys who fitted the turbo for me used a plastic irrigation bend on the oil drain. Instead of calling me and asking for help this is what they put in ! At the drain ! Well, heat soak takes care of this sh*t very quickly.
It simply melted the end shut and stopped all flow.
Long story short, I think the seals on the brand new turbo are fubarred...A hell of a lot of oil went into the system and today it`s strip everything and flush/clean.
Turbo itself is fine but smokes under deceleration now...will pull it off and check where its wet. That will show me if its turbo seals or simply a system full of oil.
~big breath here......~
So, cast manifold is on-BEST thing Iv`e done here so far..that chinese thing was frustrating as hell..
Piping will still be done nicely and more efficiently ..
Let me tell you, this engine is superb ! I do not know if it`s really logical to fit the "other" engine here..She`ll light up the rears at 3700 rpm with ease..

But it will only be ready next week. Fcuk ...........
Well this gives me some time to sort out some long awaited paint work to my car..and some other stuff.

Any feedback from Chris on the condition of the 3076 ? would like to know how bad it was.
That 3076 makes that motor bud, the rear steps out with EASE

LOL even though the bike got a suprise with the Holset as well.

John, it only damaged the piston type oil seals as in collapsing them onto the shaft. Did not know it was possible nor have I ever seen the rings collapsing. Any hoo...will now only be getting it back on Wednesday.
Strange thing is the chaps at Precision reckon it`s a GT3582R !!!
I think Rezlo sold me a very special personal specced turbo here. I know he said it had been custom specced for his Audi 2.2 Turbo , an S4 if I remember correctly..
I`m not bitchin` < it works damn well !
Just posting these here as well...
