OK Gents, so here is why I have decided to go with a CarPC:

1. U-niq
2. Music, movies, GPS, Internet, bluetooth, wifi
3. Epic for show off sessions, show and shine
4. Multi-Maps purpose tuned, live tuning (FJ im gonna need that air fuel ratio sensor soon), ecu data logging
5. And because it has not been done in SA before. . . . And I dont mean laptop or actual car pc crap. . . . I mean actual Desctop pc built into a car. . . . .
6. Because I can!

OK so I have made a selection on what opperating system to use on my CarPC. . .


LINUX MINT 14 NADIA. . . .

Got Dictator software to run like a dream on it. . . And no paid licensing issues. Also there are some linux driven hud display apps I could probably pull over to it as well to display stuff like RPM and Speed and Temps on my touch screen. . . .

He must have had kak getting video to work properly then, over a meter and signal starts getting crapy withough a video repeater. . . Must check his settup out, u got a link to it?

Looks good Mike, I am not sure what he did with it exsactly, I know he also mounted a camera in the back, don't know if he ever documented it.
