yet another development... now that stuff if working (touching wood wherever I can find) there is a loud banging in the back somewhere if I chuck it around a bit. Especially when road is bumpy (not that the coilovers are helping matters). I think it is the exhaust... will be climbing under the beast again the weekend to see if I can secure it a bit better.
Luckily I have some solid rubber mounts for the exhaust still laying about that I never fitted. If I find them.
Will be slamming the biatch a bit more for japfest also.

mmmmmm LSD gone... (thanks Pegasus was not sure but now I know) suspected but was not sure. Now to find someone to do a proper recon job. Any suggestions??? East Rand preferably... Rex Diff and G-box??? any others that's reliable?

LSD does not fully lock but definately not an open diff. Just not as good as new I suppose.
Small update is that I got most of the stuff done that I wanted before japfest. The rest will have to be some time later...

ok the tick tick tick came to play again... lifters checked - all ok. reshimmed the rocker clearances and seems much better. swear I am going to fit a VE head one of these days... getting sick of these hydro lifters and going VE is cheaper than solid pivots and a set of shims... just need to source a "20V" VE complete head, cover, garnish,cams and CAS

also the "20V" goes for about R16000 because it comes with the gearbox etc etc...

Newly fitted JDM NAVAN sideskirts and rear spats not looking too bad... Just need to find a front bumper now...
