CA18DET Intake ports

SR20DE Intake ports

The CA18DE port is 55mm long and 32mm high the SR20DE port is 50mm long and 32mm.

I Personally think the CA18DE port will from better at higher RPM, It will
loose out on the velocity of the long runners to the valve of the SR20DE and the low down torque that comes with it.

Wish, I had a flow bench to check the numbers but it up to you to decide

The CA18DE / T intake ports seam allot like the B16 intake ports

Well Guys the motor is in and, I am beat
My Internet was down so, I couldn't post picture's

This conversion is not to bad just time consuming.

Items you will need are:

Full power steering system
Full air-con system.
Left and right mounts
Clutch cable
Accelerator cable
Side-shafts
Motor
Gearbox
Upper and lower engine harness, power harness
Ect...

If you are swapping a old spec SR20 in it just plug and play with the harness but the new spec has a different F17 connector and needs to be re-wired. This is a real mission.

Thanks Dude :)
well done PFB and how does the car go
Thanks, Can I be totally honest . I Am NOT Impressed.

Yes the car is stronger then the 1600cc GA16DE , I would damn well hope so but its not really all that and, I'm not just saying this to be an Ass but its honestly how,I feel.

The motor does have a slight misfire that, I need to trace and sort out.

I think if it is missing even slightly it will affect the performance. Like driving with 3 cil the car can barely drive

I agree with you.

But I did find out something yesterday. The Hillbilly\Monkey that rebuilt the motor before, I got my hands on it has screwed up the Cam timing.

Everything seems to be a tooth advanced; I will try to sort this out A.S.A.P

I’m just starting to worry what else this idiot has messed up

Cool stuff man. Congrats on completing the swop. Hope you get that motor sorted out quickly - it should be alot better than the GA16....

std was something like 105kW IIRC compared to the 70odd of the 1600...
