I dunno about that spacer idea on the turbo hey, but I'm curious to see how it works out.

Hey savage, let me know when you're up and running, looking at buying the Mr Turbo turbo, just wanted to know how it runs on the CA.

You might get some exhaust leak by the stacke flanges, but maybe it works 8)

Yeah guys I'll let you know once it runs! :?

I haven't posted for ages now cause I've been doing so much work on the car...

The engine's in...
The starter turns but nothing happens!
Checked the timing and it's on TDC
Will the air regulator on the body on the exhaust side have anything to do with this? I haven't connected it yet, cause I can't remember where each of the lines go :?

There are 3 lines... Please can someone go check on their car and tell me where the 3 lines all go...
Thank you... Can't wait to get it started...
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated too...

Here's the pics of the motor going in and the progress up till now...

My sister's fiance helped us out... He drives a shweet Conquest RSI with a 4AGZE T3/T4 turbo motor...

Image

Engine and gearbox in at the same time...]

Image

The ali radiator and mountings we made up ourselves for the fans...

Image

FPR in...

Image

Got the pipe for the dump valve cut shorter and welded in the new place today...

Image

Progress so far...

Image

And now we're trying to start the thing and it won't start...
This is the solenoid valve that I would like to know where the 3 pipes from it go...

Dude that is looking really good, a job well done.

As for solenoid valve thing one comes from the back of the intake next, FPR and other goes into the intake pipe after the maf, i think it is for boost cut or something

WOW!

i didnt like the orange stuff, but at least you cant see much of it. the polished bits go really well with the blue silicone bits.

only thing is that those fans need to be flush mounted dude!

that flat bar wont do! it will work but it wont be near as effective! put them against the radiator, get some long skinny bolts with nuts and massive washers! then flush mount the bitches!

Shweet guys!!! Shots for all the comments...

I used engine enamel for all the spraying Reikert...

And I'll definately make a plan to flush those fans VC...

Thanx Rat for the 3 pipes! Now I know where they all go :D

Guys! I just came back from a drive around the block in it and it's amazing! :D :D :D :D

Yesterday we had no fuel because I put the fuel pressure regulator before the fuel rail and not after it, so I sorted that out...

We got the engine started and the timing reasonably okay...

Then the stooopid clutch didn't wanna engage the pressure plate fully so we serviced the slave and master cylinders with new seals and the lot, but the problem still persisted.
So today I thought of replacing the arm of the slave cylinder that presses the fork in to a longer one... So we eventually got hold of a neat adjustable one for 50 bucks and it works like a charm! :D

Then I went for a drive and I don't even put half throttle at about 2200 RPM and it's already showing 0.1 Bar on the boost gauge so it doesn't seem as lag is gonna be a problem at all :D It sounds amazing without the exhaust on with the turbo spool and all... Even though it sounds like an Isuzu bakkie  But that'll be sorted when it goes for the down pipe this week...

Unfortunately I've got a huge oil leak
I think it's coming from the sump where the liquid gasket seal is... Might be the power steering too... Will find out tomorrow...

Hey man, what boost r u running your Isuzu at

Still running the motor in so haven't even boosted more than 0.1 bar, but it will be tuned for max. 0.8 bar or when the injectors reach 80% duty cycle, whichever one comes first... lol

Just took another short drive around the block and I have to say that this turbo is awesome :D

I just put my foot down to just before half throttle in 3rd gear and I saw it register 0.1 bar on the boost gauge at a mere 1500 RPM!!!!

We think the leak is power steering... Tomorrow it's going in for the down pipe and for the current exhaust to be connected...
