It doesn’t surprise me much at all, There is a 2lt VTec in a EK body in the PTA area , I remember running him one night and he stayed damn close, also suspension work is a big factor here can you tell me that his running stock down there , If he is then he should be a damn TOCA driver
Weight plays a big role on the track but i hardly think it over powers the advantage of a turbo
Umm ask Lotus about the advantages of removing un-needed weight, A SX will not run that close to a Stock Elise in a straight line never mind around a track and thats with the imaginary 141 kw Toyota motor a 2lt Vtec will push much stronger numbers

But Max respect to the Honda Driver , what surprised me was the 328 BMW’s time

Plus all the bracing also SKUNK 2 coil over’s are not cheap so, An educated guess would be his running a frank Motor with high comp pistons, Skunk Cams, Cam gears all the other nice stuff on the motor plus management also factor in that his at the coast and he could be close to 130RWKW in a 1000KG body Hmmmm……

That's a mere assumption bro.
I know the dude that tunes the car (& sponsors it as well).
Its powertek Racing Developments in PMB.
The car is a low comp B20 motor (10:5 CR max) running on stock B16 cams.
Basically its a stock Vtec head mated to a B20 block with ARP head studs & Rod bolts revving to 7500rpm.
Oh...and its got MSD coil & stock injectors.
All perfectly controlled by Dictator
117kw OTW @ Tuneserve Dyno.
102kw OTW @ Powertek Dyno (PMB)

A strong stock CA18det is around 103RwKW on the wheels a Strong stock VTC SR20 is around 115Rwkw from what I have seen and no durban stock , the problem with the 200SX is yes it’s a sports car but its a 1990 sports car there has been almost 18 years of evolution but its still a good car

Exactly not a hum drum 150i luxline , I guess it has been tuned for a good spread of torque and is the better set-up if the track has allot of low/medium speed corners, If his exit speeds are good I don’t even think an Sx can run him down on the straights

But anyway this is classfieds so enough

If he's got good suspension he's probably running semi's as well.

If he is running semi's then it no comparison.

I reckon my semi's would be worth, at the very least, 3 secs a lap quicker than road tyres around Hesketh, with my ST170.

He WAS Running Semi's....But so was the FOCUS ST that came 2nd.
p.s... the Focus was not a factory stock car either.
