I reckon even guys that are not going to be drifting can also pitch up on Friday as we can just chill, support the drifters, have a drink & maybe play a game of pool..

Oddly enough D1 doesn't stop for the rain, but then they have sponsors to cover the body work.

Tim says his weatherman is predicting that it will actually clear up in time tomorrow. So nothing is canceled, yet.

I asked about the practise this afternoon and he said that the track is wet at the moment so I'll phone later then we can make a call.

If there's no practice today we can have some tomorrow morning.

look a wet track is great for bigginers and it doesnt put a strain on your car besides i just want to go to finalise every thing with tim and find out finer details and where this is going so if we can practice bonus if not doesnt matter :-)

Don't tempt me my car is less than 99% ready!

Good idea, those that can & want can still go through with you and have a chat to Tim and work out the details.

I'm stuck on the west rand, couldn't get out of here to avoid the traffic early enough. I'll call you guys later and see if you're still there etc.

Some sheep sit more than 8hrs a week in traffic, basically implying you work a day extra every week just to work 5 days usually unappreciated & underpaid.

to the beginners... and those interested in trying it out...

that oval in the wet will be perfect. when its wet, it seriously slows down the pace, thus decreasing the learning curve. if its still slightly wet, and you can make it - you should go.

corners that would normally get taken at 80mk/h can be taken at like 40km/h in the wet. its awesome.

and it really is easier on the car.

DO IT, DO IT!!!

qwerty, you specially man. you wont believe how easy the rain makes things. you'll definitely get it right if you go tonight and its raining!

Dammit I said don't tempt me, WHEN my car breaks I'll need a backup, which I am working on..trust me the bug bit.

If the speeds are lower and if its lighter on the car then it will be lighter on the track too..so it sounds awesome.

In fact, if you think about it, taking a turn at 40km/h in the wet is NOT all that uncommon so this kind of drifting can actually turn out to be of practical use for us no-traction-control-FR's..
