how come no-one ever listens to what i say???

you really should get a torque wrench that reads that low.

i will check what pages in the manual and post it now now - as in a few hours time. or maybe tomorrow, depends on how long it takes for the Ouzo to wear off!!!

it means your engines oil is mixing with your engines water somewhere. usually the headgasket!

ya i always wonderd why you always found water in the oil but not oil in the water. i was hoping it was just something burning of for a while. so i assume this is whats causing the overheating, the oil sticking on all the pipes and blocking flow and radiator stopping the heat transfer

could it not just be oil that went in to the water jackets when transporting the head to the engineers etc. and no burning off? water and oil dont really mix so i would say this coud take some time. the overheating isn't that much and rises slower, its just if you dont move it keeps on climbing. there is no water usage either. i just can't undrstand if oil gets in to the water, the water surely has to go in to the oil. there is no water droplets on the dip stick etc.

yes the fan runs, ive bypaased it so i swich it on all the time and the thermostat is 100% going to take it out for now so i can keep on flushing

You won't find water on your dip stick, best way to find out is to drain the oil, if the oil is greyish then you know.... Then you must find out how its mixing...

If the oil is fine, pour it back in ;)

Also try to flush out your water system, the little oil on the head should not do that, that looks like quite a bit of oil. It can also from oil that got into your water system when you removed the head, very common.
