Happy New Year and welcome back to those that have been away over the December break!

So my Christmas present this year was definitely one of the best I've ever received. I collected my SX from the Frix Drifting workshop a few days before Christmas! The car is still not 100% yet as there is still a misfire on cylinder #3. We suspect a valve that is not seated properly.
Here's a pic of the engine bay when I collected her.
The ECU has not been tuned properly yet as this fear of it being fueling to cyl #3 and may run lean. Once it's sorted then the final tune can happen. At the moment we are looking at 132wkw at 0,45 bar boost. This is also causing a flatspot at low revs. As per the recommendation of the Tuner, I added a bottle of Valve Ease for 2 x tanks of fuel. This has not helped, so it's time to remove the head and see whats the problem.

A compression test was done, so the bottom end appears fine.

Driveability and low down torque is rather pleasant and makes the car easy to drive. The aim is to use this as a daily and this setup is perfect. Been using the car almost everyday since then and loving it!

Items I still need to finalise are the following:
- Installation of new boost pipes. I am having some aluminium piping made up so that I can powdercoat it matt black.
- Replace all blue silicone hoses to black to compliment the matt black piping.
- Replace existing DV with genuine HKS unit
- Replace existing FPR with new Tomei unit - Replace temp radiator when new Mishimoto unit arrives
- Installation of new AEM Boost Controller for final tune. I've cleaned up the engine bay a bit with the power sprayer. Also installed OEM radiator fan cowling from a S15. Some work on the Type X transformation has started. Original bumper removed. more updates to follow...

So I am still undecided on the side skirts and I am definitely not keen on the Type X variants.

I've purchased a set of Bomex units and this is what it looks like test fitted to the car.

before: after: In my opinion it bows too much in the middle. Will see how it reads with the new bumpers on and then decide.

i like it but tend to agree with you but rather get the full kit on and then see how it looks

Those bomex would suit tge type X kit as its not too big.

Anyways some inspiration.

I think they can work.

These are what I have in mind... The best part these ones are that they are plastic and OEM Nissan. Busy finalising a deal with my regular supplier in Japland.

A bit of progress over the past few days...
Front bumper has been taken away for plastic welding. As you can see, the portion where the numberplate goes, has a hole cut into it for better airflow. My intention is to get it back to stock.
Here is the "before" pic... will post pics of fixed up bumper upon return. I've also started cleaning up all the cables and wiring below the dash. The car is currently having it's new alarm system installed. I've asked specifically for all the unnecessary wires to be removed. The existing units have 3 x boxes, for alarm, central locking and immobiliser respectively. Each one of these is about the size of a cigarette box. These will now be removed and replaced with 1 x unit the size of an iphone. The new setup will also have a auto window up feature.
This is what the mess currently looks like: Removed the old damaged and faded window tint. Looks waaaaaay better now.
