just one tip, you going to do it over or not, take the oil rails of cut there ends of clean them very well weld or silver solder the end back and you will be 100%. trust me i know that its like not to do it.

thanks hentie ill look into it do they get full of gunk

yip i just pulled the bottom off first time its been split from the factory and no shavings and strainer super clean not even dust

the oil is black but when you put on your finget you can see its still good

id say this motor has done no less than 60k-70k kms on it just by looking at the wear which to my naked eye is none

surely you could just jet thinners through them to clean out the gunk?... seems a bit extreme to cut the ends off...

you can and at the same time you jet all the shit to the ends where they stay and come back to block the holes up again.

That is sooo clean! Lucky!

I'd suggest replacing the oil spray bars with new ones to eliminate any chance of missing any of the gunk in them. They aren't too expensive either and are deffinately worthwhile if they save you having to replace the head.

True, but if u want to make sure, just swing the motor (no plugs) without tappet cover, untill u have oil presure. Make sure all the holes spray oil on the cams.
Very nice clean engine, don think u will have a problem
