Sooo, Nick came for a visit last night at the shop. We chatted and chatted....and chatted...

He is busy with a 2.8 stroker for the R33 seeing as I am not buying it anymore.

Watch this space, I may just be faarkin off over the horizon soon...

Any one interested in a brand new 800 HP capable Lexus V8 Turbo with CP`s , Argo`s ,Kelford`s , etc..??

Since going NEO iI have had nothing but crap with the chinese fcukin exhaust manifold. In two months I have had it weld repaired three times.
Today it cracked again.

I also commissioned a steam pipe manifold from a friend of mine. Problem is the oke is also not finishing it for me !
On Wednesday evening I saw what a stock cast mani can do with an external waste gate mounted to it.
Chap had a spare but when I called him on Thursday for it , it was no longer for sale.

I brought mine home tonight and got stuck in doing the external w/gate mod.
No where on the net can I get any pics of this having been done.

These may be the first.

I will, after welding, sit with a cirk grinder and remove the pipe sections inside the throat .After that I`l machine up a flange for the TIAL and get to fit everything.
Will have to re thing the down pipe gain but that's no biggy.....

Cheers bud, will see how this one works and where it starts choking..

Today I sorted out the waste gate adapter and mount for the mani.
Tomorrow I will have it welded as I don't have stainless rods at the moment.
Looking at it like this I hope it will be low enough for the bonnet to clear. It should be..

Here I will simply cut a piece of thick wall pipe to use as a filler...

Image

It also does not protrude as much as the first rendition of a pipe/ adapter..

Image

The tube is simply a cast steel reduction piece that I used..
It is still nice a thick walled to allow for the TIAL flange to be machined.

Ive been wanting to improve the lights on my car for ever already..I really battle with not seeing well at night and prefer not driving at night.
The Merc has Xenon`s and they are fantastic at night, no fears there.
I saw an advert in Sticker and Speaker Mag , company selling HID, Xenon's..out in Helderkriun , Roodepoort..
Jump in the car yesterday and beetle off to get a set.
Chicky at the counter says no probs, they are Phillips bulbs.
Cool, I get them and get home last night wanting to fit them. I soon see that its going to take a bit more effort than the time I had at home , so take them to work today.
A whole 1.5 hours later they are fitted and working brilliantly !!
Was a bit peeved that when I opened it all up it was chinese bulbs and not Phillips..but nou ja..
Waited until it was rather dark tonight before coming home and WOW!! What a difference these have made !
As good as the Merc , no question about it. I am impressed with a chinese product ! The sky is going to fall !!

Cannot really take pics of lights at night but here they are..

The best about these is that they are all plug in, no soldering or fabricating at all. Most tedious job was taking the lights out to mount the little boxes behind the headlamp bowl. Tucked and tie strapped everything up and I am one happy customer...

Now for the brights.....

The "brand new" gearbox that was fitted two months ago ?
Pulled it out as I could not select gears properly nor could I stand the wailing emanating from it .

I will not hassle with this one anymore. A dead loss. Will not even go back to the gearbox company that did it for me..
The replacement box we fitted is superb...how long for I don't know, will see.

I think it may be time for the 6 speed BMW box...
