Hi Barry, Those lights, front and back. Where zaketelly did you order them from? As you say, they modernise the car.

Re: Project Greenstone.
Mmm, long time since Ive updated here..Firstly, the lights have not been connected yet.
The rear tail lights were sourced from N.Z....at one hell of a price !
Saturday afternoon Im on my way to Japfest when I notice that in traffic and stop and go conditions my temp got a bit high..
Got home from Japfest and looked around to see wazz up..Mmmm, both those little stront fcukin aircon chinese shit fans are burnt out..Mmm.
Saturday afternoon I spend time trying to massage a single , proper rad fan into space that does not exist.
Long story short, I managed to fit an all aluminium Superboss Opel fan and shroud into my car.
It is sooo tight that I had to cut off the surplus studs on the waterpump pulley against the nuts !!
The surplus studs on the fan also had to go ! Tight, very very tight..
The ally fan shroud also underwent some extensive milling on my mill in the garage as well..
And just so by the way, anyone wanting to fit an aftermarket performance ally radiator into there cars ..look carefully. You will see that the radiator if its made specifically for your S13 or S14 will have two dowel pins (locators) underneath.
You HAVE to remove the stock brackets from the trailing rods that were used for the original radiator .
I discovered why my radiator was almost touching the bonnet..the brackets were never removed and the radiator was simply put on top of the two brackets.
With the brackets removed the radiator dropped straight into their receptacles and it all got lowered by at least 30 mm.
I can now say that probably for the first time the radiator is properly mounted and secondly the rad fan is working as it should.
Comes on for about 5 seconds and then switches off. This cycling of on /off at idling happens every 2 minutes or so.
Im very happy with temp control now.

Re: Project Greenstone.
Maybe get a fan controller.
Got one from autostyle after I sa the billion one was 3.5K a does the same thing.
http://www.autostyle.co.za/product/1385 ... ontroller/
Now I have 2 water temp gauges and 2 oil temp gauges. On the block and inline for water temp ,Relocation Greddy adaptor and inside the sump for oil temp.
We checked the water temp to when the thermostat is rated and it was spot on.
And you can set the start temp and stop temp for the fan, which is very convenient.
Poizen fitted one also-really thinks it works well for the price.

Re: Project Greenstone.
When I bought my car from Alistair , it had a dump valve fitted.
Sounded real nice and dumped an all. A while back I noticed that it just was not the same anymore. Opened it up and found the diaphragm to be fubarred. Ok , so I disconnect it from the system but leave it mounted.
Been wanting to take it off so today I whip it off and machine up a dummy cover for the "v" band mounting.
Bingo, all done.
I look at the DV and see that the valve was not seating very well. As a matter of fact it was leaking badly.
This is after I had re machined the valve previously but could not match it perfectly to it`s seat.
I also sorted out the accelerator cable mount of the Freddy manifold. Took her for a quick run after lighting the braai fire to see.
Mmmmm, what a difference. Also noticed that the boost is now up from 8psi to 10 psi. , the turbo spools much quicker and the reversion flutter from the comp. is way more pronounced and sharp.
After our run tomorrow Ill machine up an adapter to mount the quality TIAL dump valve.
chinese shit ??? Stay away guys, it makes you slower !
And iv`e now done 22000 Km since buying her in January !

Re: Project Greenstone.
First engine was damaged when we traveled back from Cape Town and it over heated so badly. In that condition it still did over 19000 km !
The new TIAL bov is just tremendous ! Machine up an adapter yesterday and fitted it all. This morninf II drive to work and nothing. Give it a few more runs and gear changes and suddenly ...aha ! It works and sounds rather ok.
Did about 100km today and the bov is superb. I do however need to give it it`s own signal pipe . At the moment there`s a little lag in it opening which is seen by a slight bit of reversion out the turbo.
TIAL ?? Quality stuff !
