Hope you something from the insurance, the best will prob be if they write it off and give you the option of buying it again. Then you replace everything in your own time.

They wont allow me to buy it back so i cant write it off
Max they will pay out is 60% of insured value (R75K) .
Looking at changing a few things with the car now that the wiring needs to be re-done

Depends on how much the insurance pay out

Thanks guys for your condolences
There is 2 things going through my mind atm ,
The first is taking the forged 500kw motor out and sound and selling separate (Anybody ??) ,then droping a stock RB25 in and selling the car like that .
So this car and motor(separate) might be for sale if there is interest !!!!!
the 2nd is leaving the forged motor in and selling the car when fixed without the sound but who has R180K for the car ????
If anybody is thinking of building a RB25 this is a great opportunity to save a shit lot of cash on a working and proven motor , There was R150K spent on building this motor

i dont think you will recover that
rather put a stock rb setup in and then sell for like R90k,
then atlesat you have that awsome motor to use on your next build

I am going to drop a stock motor back in as i know i wont get R180K for the car complete , The build motor will be for sale

ideal for a certain white S13 needing a motor
If i dont get what i want for the 500kw motor then i wont sell it

I think i better place a feeler add in the classifieds section as i have had 5 guys contact me , I have not even advertised
I scaring people off with the price , Alot of people dont realise how expensive it is to built a 500kw RB25 , And i am asking just below half of what it cost to build

with 5000km on it .

Maybe u should put the list of parts in the motor, with new replacement cost, then guys will realise what it cost to build the engine. Not small change
