damn boobies - cant work.
i filled up with BP 95 this morning. was AWESOME!
it was like... filling up with any other petrol!!!
then i spent 20 minutes travelling at an average speed of 2km/h while the officials cleared up some numbnuts car that he spread all over the freeway like butter on bread.
i reckon that BP is the business then!

Didn't notice. Affirmative action adverts
@Warren
yeah piping just like Chemcools. How does it run without the cooler?
I'm sure not as much power as one with a cooler, but I'm sure you got no lag.
Also their is a version of a CA18det that didn't have a cooler(fwd I think)
So running without a cooler....how good/bad is that?

its ok, if you want to go through engines like dirty underwear.
these cars were designed with intercoolers, and their electronic control modules think that they have coolers. if you then remove it, you are very prone to detonation as a result of excessively high intake temperatures.
that'll hurt a motor.
and a cooler doesnt affect lag that much. the design and matching of the turbo system and engine capacity has a far greater affect on lag than a cooler will have.

You know woohaa it actually runs surprisingly well. Start getting into good boost around 2500-2800, so not much lag or anything. Still feels pretty powerful hey!
But ja it definatley is more prone 2 detonation, particularly when its hot (so now its not so bad). But I can only imagine that its got less power than it SHOULD have with the cooler. As VeeCee says, the car thinks it has one, so it can't be running near its optimum effeciency. But as I say even without it, it really runs very well, just shows what a good motor it is
And without the cooler, 95 causes 2 much detonation as Brator says, so with the cooler + 95 =

No offence meant but Dude that is scary stuff, damn. My eyes water just looking at the photo, don't forget to shoot the guy which suggested that without fitting some form of water/methanol injection.

Haha don't worry none taken! Ja nobody suggested anything, i bought the car as is, with the intention of fixing it up (Which i know is probably more expensive than bying a good one, but its more fun/satisfying this way

)
